About the Role
The Dental Assistant will support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, managing supplies, and ensuring a high standard of patient care and infection control.
Requirements
<b>Key Responsibilities:</b> <br>
- Assist dentists with clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and treatment areas. <br>
- Take and document patient dental and medical histories. <br>
- Take, expose, and mount high-quality dental radiographs as needed. <br> ++ Maintain infection control standards, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments. <br> ++ Support patient care by offering pre- and post-operative instructions. <br> ++ Schedule appointments and maintain patient files accurately. <br> ++ Monitor and manage dental supplies inventory and ensure dental units are well maintained. <br> ++ Provide comfort and reassurance to patients before and during treatments. <br> ++ Participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives. <b>- Minimum Requirements:</b> <br>
++ 1 to 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant. <br> ++ Dental Assistance Bachelor’s Degree, or Diploma from a recognized National Dental Assistant Program. <br> ++ Valid professional registration and license as a Dental Assistant recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). <br> <br>
<b>- Preferred Qualifications:</b> <br>
++ 3 years or more of practical experience in a dental clinical setting. <br> ++ Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. <br> ++ Commitment to high standards of hygiene, accuracy, and professionalism <br> <br> <b>- Required Skills:</b> <br> ++ Advanced skills in chairside assisting, radiography, and sterilization techniques <br> ++ Ability to manage time efficiently <br> ++ Familiarity with dental inventory systems and digital health records <br> ++ Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
