Senior Engineer | Proposal

The <b>Senior Engineer - Proposals</b> supports the development of technical and commercial proposals for the Departments across the organization. He/she works closely with other Proposal Managers and discipline engineers and department heads for the collection of internal documentation, consolidation of staff resumes and project references and for the estimation of direct project delivery costs throughout the entire proposal development life cycle. The jobholder supports the coordination across functions and departments in the organization to seek input from subject matter experts during the proposal development stages, as needed.

<b>Key Responsibilities:</b> <br>

• Ensure responsibilities are fulfilled with a high quality and in a cost effective manner. <br>
• Must be able to collect internal documentation from similar proposals and projects (e.g. regulations, standards, etc.), as needed. <br>
• Collect and consolidate design staff resumes, project references and other required information in the required formats for Doha Office design/supervision proposals <br>
• Estimate man-hours required by design Department / Sections for non-complex projects in coordination with others. <br>
• Support with the calculation of direct costs based on estimated man-hours by Design Departments/Sections <br>
• Work with other Proposal Managers in coordinating with design departments and sections to validate man-hour estimates, project durations, outsourcing requirements, expert input, etc. for proposals for Doha design &/or supervision projects, as needed <br>
• Support in obtaining quotations from supplier and subcontractors for proposals, as required by the RFP scope and the bid strategy and design delivery model. <br>
• Coordinate with Geographies for the packaging and submittal of proposal packages as per client instructions, as needed <br>
• Implement corporate policies and procedures. <br> <br>

<b>- Requirements:</b> <br> ++ Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Institution <br> ++ Ministry of Municipality Registered Engineer is preferred but not mandatory <br> ++ Good organization and time management skills <br> ++ Good estimation and scheduling skills <br> ++ Good technical writing skills <br> ++ Good communication skills <br> ++ Good interpersonal skills ++ Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic <br> ++ 10+ years of industry experience in Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry <br> ++ Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the engineering industry in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm is preferred. <br> ++ Knowledge of the proposal development process for Design and Supervision projects is mandatory.
