About the Role
To deliver advanced critical care services to patients with life-threatening conditions, using a multidisciplinary approach and the latest in medical technologies. The ICU Specialist is responsible for the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of critically ill patients, ensuring their stabilization and recovery in collaboration with specialized care teams.
Requirements
<b>Key Responsibilities:</b> <br>
- Manage patients with severe acute illnesses such as sepsis, multi-organ failure, ARDS, cardiac arrest, and trauma. <br>
- Perform and oversee intubations, mechanical ventilation, central line insertion, and bedside procedures. <br>
- Lead rounds and multidisciplinary care plans, coordinating with surgeons, emergency physicians, anesthetists, and nursing teams. <br>
- Utilize advanced monitoring tools, ventilator settings, and pharmacologic therapies. <br>
- Ensure compliance with ICU protocols, infection control measures, and patient safety standards. <br>
- Educate and support residents, nurses, and junior physicians in intensive care best practices. <br>
<b>++ Interactions & Collaboration Internal:</b> Collaborates with emergency, surgical, anesthesiology, nephrology, and infectious disease units. <br> <b>++ External:</b> May coordinate with family members and external specialists for post-ICU care transitions. <br> <b>- Requirements:</b> <br>
