Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced <b>Mechanical Engineer</b> with deep specialization in <b>reciprocating gas compressors</b>, ideally suited for candidates with over <b>10 years of hands-on experience</b> in the Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical sectors. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading preventive and corrective maintenance operations, overhauls, diagnostics, and performance optimization of high duty reciprocating compressor systems in critical energy infrastructure settings

<b>Key Responsibilities:</b> <br>

• Conduct complete overhauls, breakdown analysis, and troubleshooting of reciprocating gas compressors across various pressure and staging types. <br>
• Ensure continuous availability and optimum performance of equipment by executing predictive and preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM guidelines. <br>
• Lead and supervise major repair activities, including dismantling, inspection, reassembly, and testing of compressor systems. <br>
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as vibration analyzers, thermal sensors, and pressure gauges to assess machine health and initiate timely interventions. <br>
• Document detailed maintenance records, technical inspection reports, and commissioning summaries with actionable insights and improvement recommendations. <br>
• Monitor and control site work progress, ensuring all compressor maintenance tasks meet safety and scheduling benchmarks. <br>
• Analyze system malfunctions using thermodynamics, gas dynamics, and mechanical principles to resolve root-cause failures effectively. <br>
• Maintain compliance with API, ASME, and other relevant international codes and hazard analysis techniques for industrial safety. <br>

• Provide leadership in the handling of compressor packages and offer technical guidance on equipment upgrades and modification plans.

<b>- Candidate Profile:</b> <br> ++ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory) <br> <br> ++ 10+ years of proven experience in: <br> +++ Oil & Gas plants <br> +++ Refineries <br> +++ Petrochemical industries <br> <br> ++ Expertise in: <br> +++ Single and multi-stage compressors <br> +++ Low and high-pressure gas compression systems <br> +++ Rotating equipment diagnostics and maintenance <br> ++ Familiarity with industry-grade tools and performance monitoring instruments <br> ++ Strong leadership and reporting capabilities, able to guide teams through complex maintenance operations
