Requirements
<b>Day to Day:</b> <br>
- Maintenance and Repairs: Overseeing and performing preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment. This includes calibrating controls, gauges, and meters, and recommending replacements when necessary. <br>
- Safety Inspections: Conducting regular safety checks, such as fire-pump and generator run tests, inspecting fire sprinkler valves, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. <br>
- Inventory Management: Ordering, marking, and stocking parts and supplies as needed. Maintaining an inventory and purchase orders log to ensure all necessary items are available. <br>
- Guest Requests: Responding to and attending to guest repair requests promptly and efficiently. Ensuring that any issues are resolved to maintain guest satisfaction. <br>
- Team Supervision: Supervising and delegating tasks to maintenance personnel. This includes hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and motivating team members. <br>
- Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to ensure that all engineering activities align with the hotel's operational goals. Participating in weekly maintenance meetings with senior management. <br>
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all company policies, safety, and security procedures. Reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, and completing safety training and certifications. <br>
- Documentation: Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Using computers to enter and locate work-related information. <br> <br> This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and motivate a team. It's a crucial position that helps maintain the hotel's high standards and ensures a safe and comfortable environment for guests. <br> <br> <b>- What we need from you: </b> <br>
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for: <br> • Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration <br> • Two to Three years’ prior tenure in a similar role <br> • International luxury hotel chain background <br> • GCC exposure <br> • English Fluency is required <br> • Arabic Fluency is preferred
