General Accountant

Zadar Markets is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team at the Al-Shifa branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and preparing accurate financial reports that support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
• Monitor daily transactions and ensure proper documentation and classification
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulatory standards
• Generate periodic financial reports for management review
• Collaborate with auditors and support audit processes
• Maintain confidentiality and security of financial records

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent certification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
• Proficiency in preparing financial reports and balance sheets
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Commitment to professional ethics and accounting standards
