Electrical Technician

TheElectrical Technician will perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems across facilities in and around the Haram area. The role demands strict adherence to safety standards, precision in execution, and timely response to faults to ensure uninterrupted operations. Candidates should be comfortable working in high-footfall, mission-critical environments with disciplined coordination and clear reporting.

• Pay: 15 per hour

• Shifts: Rotational shifts; overtime/holiday work may be required during peak periods

|| Key responsibilities:

• Installation & commissioning: Install and terminate cables, panels, breakers, lighting, and small power; verify continuity, insulation resistance, and proper load distribution.
• Preventive maintenance: Execute scheduled inspections, cleaning, tightening, and testing of electrical components to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshooting & repair: Diagnose faults using multimeters and relevant tools; replace defective components and restore systems safely and quickly.
• Panel and distribution work: Work on MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, ATS, contactors, relays, and protective devices; ensure proper labeling and single-line diagram compliance.
• Compliance & safety: Follow SEC/IEC standards, lockout/tagout, PPE protocols, and site-specific safety requirements; maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Documentation & reporting: Log maintenance activities, parts used, and fault resolutions; escalate recurring issues with clear root-cause notes.
• Coordination: Liaise with supervisors and other trades; support emergency call-outs and priority tasks during peak periods.
• Quality assurance: Perform functional tests after interventions and confirm acceptance with supervisors.

|| Qualifications and skills

• Experience: 2–5 years as an Electrical Technician in facilities, MEP, or industrial settings.
• Technical skills:
  • Familiar with LV systems, panels, lighting circuits, small power, earthing, and cable management.
  • Able to read and work from single-line diagrams and layout drawings.
  • Proficient with test instruments (multimeter, megger/insulation tester).
• Safety knowledge: Clear understanding of LOTO, PPE, permits-to-work, and safe isolation procedures.
• Certifications (preferred): Diploma/ITI in Electrical, SEC license or equivalent, basic HSE certification.
• Soft skills: Reliability, time discipline, teamwork, and clear communication.
• Language: Basic English or Arabic for site coordination.
