The Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation of safety policies and procedures at the worksite and ensuring that all employees and contractors comply with approved safety standards. The role includes conducting regular inspections, assessing risks, preparing safety reports, and contributing to a safe, incident‑free work environment. The supervisor will also follow up on emergency plans, deliver awareness and training programs, and coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure full compliance with local regulations and international safety standards.
Requirements
🛠Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce occupational health and safety policies and procedures at the site.
- Conduct daily and weekly inspections to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare reports on incidents, near misses, and safety violations and submit them to management.
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans in coordination with operations and maintenance teams.
- Ensure readiness of fire‑fighting equipment and emergency systems.
- Deliver safety awareness sessions and training programs for employees.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety standards during all work activities.
- Participate in emergency and evacuation plans and conduct regular drills.
- Ensure compliance with official safety regulations such as OSHA, NFPA, and local standards.
- Provide technical recommendations to management to enhance workplace safety and strengthen safety culture.
🎯 Requirements
- A certificate in Occupational Safety or a related field.
- Previous experience in the same field.
- Good knowledge of approved safety systems and regulations in the Kingdom.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff.
- Ability to prepare reports and follow up on safety procedures systematically.
