About the Role
We are currently looking for a Resident Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site, ensuring that all work is executed in accordance with project specifications, designs, and quality standards. The role requires strong contractor, supervision & engineering experience and the ability to manage day to day site operations efficiently.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor contractor activities on-site to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.
- Review contractor work plans, schedules, and progress reports.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with design engineers, consultants, and project managers to resolve technical issues.
- Inspect and approve materials, workmanship, and completed works.
- Maintain daily site reports, progress documentation, and records of inspections.
- Monitor contractor performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and schedule tracking.
- Participate in project meetings, site inspections, and progress reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
- 5 - 12 years of experience in construction, with proven experience in contractor supervision.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and standards.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical and operational issues promptly.
- Proficiency in project management and reporting tools (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
