Production Engineer

To investigate and recommend modifications to facilities and changes in operating methods to solve problems regarding wells, well equipment, and production / facilities and ensure well integrity & safety.

Skills:

• Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
• Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
• Reviews of well test data to provide analysis and verifies accuracy and applicability
• Determines optimal production rates for well performance and improves yield while maintaining safety and integrity to ensure long term sustainability
• Analyzes field operating problems of wells, facilities and equipment and carries out various studies to optimize well/field performance
• Recommends changes in daily and weekly oil production rates to meet shipping schedules
• Provides on going advice/instructions on production rates, well rotation and close downs to ensure production rates are met and wells are sustained
• Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards
• Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
• Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Education:

• Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering
