Well Test Officer

To support section’s operations and run well test activities to facilitate the continuation of oil and gas production.

Skills:

• Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner

• Day to day operations

  • Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures

• Well Testing

  • Conducts and participates in all well testing activities to ensure effective completion of assigned tasks
  • Examines well conditions to ensure prevention and elimination of hazards for men and equipment
  • Assists in preparation of detailed work schedules for conducting tests, bottom hole pressure surveys and bottom hole sampling to ensure availability of information for optimal performance
  • Assists petroleum Engineer in planning and other matters related to the Jack-up Barge operations to keep operating costs within budget and to facilitate smooth operation and timely completion
  • Assists petroleum Engineer in planning and other matters related to well testing budget, & resources required (tools & equipment)
  • Issues the required SAP documents (PR, SO, SES & Reservations) to ensure smooth flow of information
  • Follows up the gas lift design program and manages the valves calibration through contractors to ensure optimal operations
  • Assists the Petroleum Engineer in the scope of work for the requested tenders to ensure completion and technical specification accuracy

• Reporting

  • Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards
  • Records details of work and reports results daily to Petroleum Engineer - Well Testing, to provide data his information and action accordingly

• Safety, Health & Environment

  • Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

• Related Assignments

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Education

• Bachelors degree in Petroleum
