Rotating Equipment Engineer

To participate in troubleshooting across all areas of the Mechanical Rotating Equipment system in order to resolve any Rotating equipment problems. Ensures rotating equipment is maintained to internal standards of reliability and performance to support the smooth conduct of Operations.

Skills:

• Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner

• Day- to-day operations

  • Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the technical support department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
  • Conducts engineering studies to prepare scope of work as per guidelines and standards

• Troubleshooting Problems

  • Troubleshoots and resolves Compressor Gas Turbine (CGT) and pump operating problems, including vibration concerns, bearings, couplings, seal and specifying the correct equipment (metallurgy) for service conditions

• CGT Inspections and Maintenance

• Conducts CGT inspections at the industry accepted inspection intervals, determine conditions of internal parts, establish component life limits for safe operation

• Makes recommendations for scheduling of major gas generator / turbine overhauls and develop the scope of work

• Rotating Equipment

  • Determines the correct alignment values for rotating equipment and be able to conduct alignment checks in the field

Reporting

• Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards

• Safety, Health & Environment

  • Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

• Related Assignments

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Education

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
