To conduct editing activities on English and Arabic write ups and materials to ensure that contents are reviewed and edited in a professional way while maintaining a high standard of quality of work.

Skills:

• Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner

• Day- to-day operations

  • Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for Business Support Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures

• Communications

  • Assists the Senior Editor in identifying general communication needs of the company to generate and relay all the necessary to employees and other stakeholders

• Proof reading

  • Conduct proofreading of all communication materials to ensure that the articles are well written, free from any grammatical errors and conveys clearly the message to all readers

• News

  • Collects relevant news and information from respective departments in order to come up with an article that would be included in the company magazine and newsletter to ensure that enough materials are available

• Events Coverage

  • Covers events and exhibits assigned by the supervisor to capture the activities and other related information in order to come up with an article for publishing

• Reporting

  • Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards

• Safety, Health & Environment

  • Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

• Related Assignments

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Journalism
