Project Engineer

To provide professional and technical support to the Senior Project Engineer in carrying out tasks assigned for the completion of all minor projects with value up to USD 2 million and requiring detailed design within approved project parameters such as cost, timelines, functionality and quality in order to meet the satisfaction and agreed objectives of the projects handled

Skills

• Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner

• Day- to-day operations

  • Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures

• Project Implementation Supervision

  • Supervise project implementation to ensure that construction is in accordance with the approved design and technical specifications
  • Supervise the progress of work of the constructing company to ensure that the schedule is met

• Inspection

  • Inspects site works and ensure that bylaws, local government rule/regulations are not violated by the civil contractors /subcontractors and all safety procedures and followed

• As Built Drawings

  • Verifies and As-Built drawings, delivery notes submitted by the contractors in order to validate accuracy of drawings

• Contractor Coordination

  • Coordinates contracts and escalate issues and problems related to project construction to relevant parties to ensure that all issues are addressed and resolved.

• Detail Design Engineering

  • Reviews all detail design engineering to ensure that all technical requirements are understood and easily implemented during the design phase

• Contractor Management:

  • Coordinates with project supervisors to oversee and supervise the activities of external contractor personnel, including the approval of manning levels to ensure that all work takes place in a compliant manner which guarantees the delivery of a high quality service
  • Reviews and certifies work completion / progress and prepares the necessary reports for the Senior Project Engineer

• Reporting

  • Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards

• Safety, Health & Environment

  • Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

• Related Assignments

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Education

• Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering
