We are seeking a reliable and experienced Safety Officer to join our site team for industrial and power sector projects. As a Safety Officer, you will oversee daily Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities across the project site. Your responsibilities will include preparing safety documentation, conducting inspections, leading toolbox talks, and ensuring full compliance with approved procedures.
You will closely monitor critical operations such as working at height, hot work, and confined space entry ensuring all permits, controls, and safety measures are properly implemented. You will also investigate incidents and near misses, recommending corrective and preventive actions to strengthen overall site safety.
This role requires strong site presence, clear communication, and the ability to guide teams while maintaining firm safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining HSE documents, reports, permits, and site records
- Developing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and daily toolbox talks
- Ensuring all site activities comply with safety rules and procedures
- Supervising high‑risk work such as Working at Height, Hot Work, and Confined Space Entry
- Managing the permit‑to‑work system and verifying safety controls
- Ensuring compliance with industrial safety standards and client requirements
- Investigating incidents and near misses, and implementing preventive measures
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer (industrial or power sector experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of safety documentation, RA/JSA, and permit‑to‑work systems
- Hands‑on experience supervising high‑risk activities
- Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and protocols
- Strong communication skills and confidence in enforcing site rules
- Ability to work effectively in active, fast‑paced site environments
