Planning Engineer

Barq Al Mustaqbal Co., a reputable construction and engineering firm operating across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming projects in Tabuk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, and supporting project teams with accurate planning, reporting, and analytical insights. This role requires strong technical expertise in Primavera P6, excellent coordination skills, and a solid understanding of project controls within the Saudi construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programs, schedule updates, and recovery schedules as required.
• Monitor project progress and generate weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure schedule accuracy.
• Analyze project delays, prepare EOT (Extension of Time) claims, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Track and report manpower, materials, and equipment productivity and progress.
• Ensure all planning and reporting activities comply with contractual obligations and project milestones.
• Support project controls functions, including forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of proven experience in planning for construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
• Experience working on construction projects within Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and reporting standards.
• Valid Saudi Iqama is mandatory.
• Transferable Iqama (Naqal Kafala) required.
• Must be available for immediate joining.
