About the Role
The Civil Engineer plays a critical role in planning, designing, supervising, and maintaining civil and structural works within industrial and petrochemical environments. In SABIC‑related projects, this role ensures that all civil infrastructure—foundations, buildings, pipe racks, equipment supports, and utility networks—meets strict engineering, safety, and regulatory standards. The Civil Engineer acts as a technical authority, ensuring structural integrity, compliance, and seamless execution across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review civil and structural designs, drawings, and calculations for industrial facilities.
- Supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved IFC drawings, specifications, and SABIC standards.
- Conduct site inspections for foundations, concrete works, steel structures, and underground utilities.
- Coordinate with architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor contractor performance, verify material quality, and ensure compliance with safety and QA/QC procedures.
- Identify risks, propose corrective actions, and ensure timely completion of civil works.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation required for project approvals.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of structural engineering, material science, and industrial construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in civil design software (STAAD, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Deep familiarity with SABIC engineering standards, safety regulations, and site protocols.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and coordination skills.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in SABIC projects with proven field and design exposure.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to support cross‑disciplinary project execution.
