About the Role
The Steel Fixer is responsible for cutting, bending, tying, and installing steel reinforcement bars for concrete structures. This role is essential for ensuring structural integrity and requires technical skill, precision, and the ability to follow engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS).
- Cut, bend, and tie steel bars according to project requirements.
- Install reinforcement for foundations, columns, slabs, and beams.
- Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and secure fixing of steel reinforcements.
- Work closely with carpenters and site engineers to maintain construction flow.
Requirements
- Strong experience in steel fixing for industrial or civil projects.
- Ability to read drawings and follow technical instructions.
- Skilled in using cutting, bending, and tying tools.
- Physically fit and able to work long-term in demanding site conditions.
