About the Role
A leading contracting company is seeking a qualified and motivated Planning Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This role is ideal for candidates who excel in project planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring within the construction sector.
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and efficient execution of construction activities. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to track progress and identify potential delays. The ideal candidate will support the project lifecycle from initiation to completion by preparing reports, forecasting timelines, and ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry‑standard planning tools.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual site conditions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks, and propose corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather progress data.
- Assist in resource planning, cost loading, and productivity analysis.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Support project control functions including baseline preparation and schedule recovery plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles.
- Proficiency in planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Immediate availability is required.
