Electrical Technician

The Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across industrial facilities. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical components supporting production, utilities, and plant infrastructure. This position requires strong technical knowledge, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to respond quickly to operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels, motors, transformers, sensors, and control systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams to resolve cross‑functional technical issues.
• Participate in shutdowns, upgrades, and improvement projects as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or related field.
• Experience in industrial environments (oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, VFDs, control circuits, and industrial safety practices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot complex systems.
