Mechanical Technician

The Mechanical Technician ensures the reliability and optimal performance of mechanical equipment used in industrial operations. The role involves hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pumps, compressors, valves, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems essential to plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and rotating machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform repairs to restore equipment functionality.
• Assist in installation, alignment, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, leaks, or performance issues.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and ensure proper documentation of all activities.
• Support shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance projects.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with industrial standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Mechanics, or related field.
• Experience in petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial facilities is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, piping systems, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform precision alignment.
