About the Role
Scaffolders are responsible for constructing, modifying, inspecting, and dismantling scaffolding systems that support safe access to elevated work areas across industrial, construction, and infrastructure projects. Their work directly impacts worker safety, project efficiency, and compliance with Saudi safety regulations. Scaffolders must interpret technical drawings, assess site conditions, and assemble scaffolding structures that meet load‑bearing requirements and project specifications. They play a vital role in enabling maintenance, installation, and construction teams to perform tasks safely at various heights.

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to project plans and safety standards.
- Interpret scaffolding drawings, load charts, and site instructions to ensure accurate installation.
- Conduct daily inspections of scaffolding platforms, braces, couplers, and supports to identify hazards.
- Ensure all scaffolding components are securely fixed and capable of supporting required loads.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and safety officers to maintain compliance with safety protocols.
- Install guardrails, toe boards, ladders, and access points to ensure safe worker movement.
- Monitor environmental conditions (wind, vibration, ground stability) that may affect scaffold safety.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and scaffolding materials in proper working condition.
- Assist in modifying or extending scaffolding as project requirements evolve.
- Report unsafe conditions, structural concerns, or damaged components immediately.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of scaffold types (tube & clamp, frame, mobile, system scaffolds).
- Knowledge of load capacities, anchoring methods, and structural stability requirements.
- Ability to work at heights with full awareness of fall‑prevention procedures.
- Familiarity with Saudi occupational safety standards and PPE usage.
- Physical strength, balance, and stamina for lifting, climbing, and manual assembly.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and coordinate with multi‑trade teams.
- Problem‑solving skills for adapting scaffolding to complex site conditions.
Work Environment Expectations
- Work performed outdoors in industrial zones such as Dammam, Jubail, and Jafura.
- Exposure to heights, heavy equipment, and fast‑paced construction environments.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and daily toolbox talks.
- Collaboration with engineers, supervisors, and other skilled trades.
