About the Role
Carpenters are responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and components used in industrial and general contracting projects. Their work includes building formwork for concrete, fabricating partitions, installing doors and panels, and performing finishing tasks. Carpenters must interpret technical drawings, measure materials accurately, and assemble components using appropriate tools and techniques. Their craftsmanship ensures structural accuracy, durability, and high‑quality finishes across project sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Construct and install wooden formwork for concrete foundations, columns, beams, and slabs.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and plywood materials with precision.
- Install doors, frames, panels, partitions, and other wooden components.
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures as required.
- Interpret technical drawings and follow project specifications accurately.
- Coordinate with steel fixers, masons, and site supervisors to ensure alignment and readiness.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of carpentry work areas.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Follow safety guidelines and use PPE at all times.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong carpentry skills in formwork, framing, and finishing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Precision in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Familiarity with industrial carpentry tools and equipment.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper tool handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑trade team.
