HVAC Technician

We are urgently seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with strong hands-on expertise in CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) units and Data Centre cooling systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of precision cooling systems that support critical IT and data centre environments.

You will ensure all HVAC and CRAC systems operate at peak efficiency, maintain stable temperature and humidity levels, and respond quickly to any alarms or breakdowns to protect sensitive equipment and avoid downtime. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in mission-critical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• CRAC & data centre systems:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain CRAC units, precision cooling systems, and related HVAC equipment in data centres.
  • Ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and airflow distribution in server rooms and critical IT areas.

• Maintenance & troubleshooting:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and servicing of HVAC and CRAC systems.
  • Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and carry out corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and system alarms to minimize downtime.

• Installation & commissioning:

  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new HVAC/CRAC units and related components.
  • Support upgrades, modifications, and system improvements as required.

• Monitoring & reporting:

  • Monitor system performance using BMS or control panels and adjust settings when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts usage, and system performance.

• Compliance & safety:

  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Ensure proper handling of refrigerants and tools in line with environmental and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, specifically with CRAC units and data centre cooling systems.
• Technical skills:
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and fault diagnosis.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Iqama:
  • Valid Iqama is mandatory and should be transferable (preferred).
• Location flexibility:
  • Willing to work in Jeddah and KAEC as per operational requirements.
• Other skills:
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Basic communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
