About the Role
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the company receives high‑quality products at competitive prices. This role is critical in maintaining uninterrupted operations, especially within the chemical industry where compliance, safety, and quality standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full procurement cycle, from identifying needs to issuing purchase orders
- Evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and tracking inventory requirements
- Coordinating with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs
- Ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and company policies
- Supporting cost‑saving initiatives and supplier performance evaluations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement
- Bachelor’s degree in a chemical-related field
- Strong understanding of procurement procedures and regulatory requirements
- Experience in industrial or chemical procurement is an advantage
