About the Role

The Procurement Engineer will play a central role in supporting the Zuluf offshore project by managing end‑to‑end procurement activities in alignment with Aramco standards, SAEP/SAES requirements, and project-specific technical specifications. This role requires strong technical understanding, vendor management capability, and hands-on experience working within Aramco’s procurement ecosystem—including SAP, Ariba, and the Aramco Portal.

The ideal candidate will ensure timely sourcing, evaluation, and delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution. This includes coordinating with engineering, construction, QA/QC, logistics, and project management teams to maintain uninterrupted project progress. The role demands excellent negotiation skills, strong documentation discipline, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.


Further Details: Project Duration: 6 months (extendable)
Requirement: Candidate must provide their own laptop for the full rental duration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full procurement cycle for project materials, equipment, and subcontracted services in compliance with Aramco standards.
  • Review technical documents, material requisitions (MRs), and ensure clarity before initiating RFQs.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs to approved vendors; follow up for quotations and ensure timely submission.
  • Conduct commercial and technical bid evaluations in coordination with engineering and QA/QC teams.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms to secure the best value for the project.
  • Prepare purchase orders (POs), service orders (SOs), and ensure proper documentation as per Aramco requirements.
  • Track and monitor order status, delivery schedules, and vendor performance to avoid delays.
  • Coordinate with logistics for shipment clearance, inspection, and material receiving.
  • Maintain accurate procurement logs, vendor databases, and compliance records.
  • Ensure all procurement activities align with project timelines, cost targets, and quality standards.
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and documentation reviews required by Aramco.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and engineering departments to resolve procurement-related issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Mandatory: Prior experience working on Aramco projects, preferably offshore or upstream.
  • Strong knowledge of Aramco procurement procedures, standards, and approval workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement systems.
  • Proven track record in vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications, material codes, and industrial equipment.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously.
  • Must provide own laptop for the full duration of the contract.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in offshore or marine project procurement.
  • Familiarity with long-lead items and critical equipment procurement.
  • Strong analytical and cost-evaluation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
