Piping Supervisor

The Piping Supervisor holds a senior operational leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple piping teams and ensuring seamless coordination across all piping-related project activities. This position bridges the gap between field execution and project management, ensuring that all work complies with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. In complex industrial environments such as Al Jubail’s oil, gas, petrochemical, and utility sectors, the Piping Supervisor is vital for maintaining technical accuracy, resource efficiency, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate multiple Piping Foremen and their respective teams across various project zones.
• Review project plans, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
• Plan daily and weekly work activities, allocate resources, and manage manpower distribution.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical challenges, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Liaise with project engineers, QA/QC teams, safety officers, and senior management to maintain alignment.
• Oversee material availability, equipment readiness, and logistical coordination.
• Ensure proper execution of hydrotesting, reinstatement, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to reinforce safety culture.
• Prepare detailed progress reports, highlight potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of piping systems, fabrication, installation, and testing procedures.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation, including P&IDs, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings.
• Advanced leadership and team management capabilities, with experience handling large workforces.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination between field teams and management.
• Proficiency in identifying technical issues and implementing practical, timely solutions.
• Deep familiarity with industrial safety standards, QA/QC processes, and project management principles.
• Significant experience in major industrial projects, ideally within Saudi Arabia’s energy and infrastructure sectors.
