CNC Operator | Programmer

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented CNC Machine Programmer / Operator to join our woodworking and interior joinery production team. In this role, you will operate advanced CNC machinery used for cutting, shaping, and processing wood panels and furniture components. You will be responsible for loading CNC programs, preparing materials, adjusting tools, and ensuring precise, high‑quality output throughout the production cycle.

This position requires strong technical understanding, the ability to read and interpret drawings and CAD/CAM files, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with designers, production supervisors, and quality control teams to ensure every component meets the required specifications and finishing standards.

Key Responsibilities

1: CNC Machine Operation

• Operate CNC routers, beam saws, boring machines, and other woodworking CNC equipment.
• Load CNC programs and production data using machine software.
• Set up materials, tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters before machining.
• Calibrate machines to ensure accurate cutting, shaping, and drilling.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation.

2: Production & Technical Work

• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and cutting lists.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed during production.
• Ensure all components are produced according to exact measurements and design specifications.
• Maintain consistent production output in line with the daily and weekly production schedule.

3: Quality Control

• Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other measuring tools. - Verify that all components meet dimensional accuracy and finishing requirements.
• Identify and report defects, inaccuracies, or machine issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain high standards of precision and quality throughout the production process.

4: Machine Maintenance

• Perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance of CNC machines.
• Ensure tools, bits, and equipment remain in proper working condition.
• Report mechanical, electrical, or software issues to the maintenance team promptly.

5: Health & Safety

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and machine operation guidelines.
• Wear required PPE at all times while operating machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.

• Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Technical Certificate in Carpentry, Wood Technology, CNC Operation, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience operating CNC machines in a woodworking or joinery production environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, and cutting lists.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming software such as AutoCAD, WoodWOP, AlphaCAM, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of wood materials, panel types, and machining techniques.
