Safety Officer

We are hiring 30 qualified Safety Officers for a short‑term industrial project within Ma’aden facilities. This role is critical to ensuring safe operations during maintenance, shutdown, and construction activities. Candidates must have strong industrial safety experience and a solid understanding of Ma’aden’s safety protocols. Ma’aden experience or authorization is mandatory, along with Ajeer registration.

Safety Officers play a vital role in maintaining compliance with safety regulations, preventing workplace incidents, and ensuring that all personnel follow approved safety procedures. This position requires individuals who are proactive, disciplined, and capable of managing safety operations in high‑risk industrial environments.

Role Importance

Industrial safety is a core requirement in large‑scale operations such as mining, petrochemical plants, oil & gas facilities, and heavy construction sites. Ma’aden projects, in particular, enforce strict safety standards due to:

• Heavy machinery and equipment
• Hazardous materials
• High‑risk operational zones
• Large workforce and complex workflows

Experienced Safety Officers help protect workers, equipment, and the environment by ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily work activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead Toolbox Talks, safety briefings, and pre‑job meetings to educate workers on risks and safe work practices.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety rules across all work zones.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, incident reports, and inspection records.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and project management to improve overall safety performance.
• Respond promptly to unsafe conditions, incidents, or near‑miss situations.
• Support shutdown and maintenance activities by overseeing safe execution of tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer in mining, construction, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and industrial safety procedures.
• Ma’aden project experience or authorization is mandatory.
• Valid Ajeer registration is required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to enforce safety rules and respond quickly to safety concerns.
• Familiarity with Saudi industrial safety regulations and site protocols.
