About the Role
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance and shutdown activities to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations. The role involves supervising on-site work, troubleshooting equipment issues, preparing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience in industrial environments, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Supervise on-site work to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within the required timeframe.
- Diagnose equipment faults, manage repairs, and implement solutions to reduce downtime.
- Prepare detailed maintenance schedules, track progress, and update records regularly.
- Utilize SAP, Primavera, and ERP systems for planning, reporting, and documentation.
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and contractor teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and equipment history data.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or industrial project environments.
- Proven experience in shutdown work, site supervision, and maintenance planning.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Primavera, and ERP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and resolve issues in real time.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational abilities.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Educational background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience supervising teams or managing multi‑disciplinary site activities.
