Diesel Mechanic

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered heavy machinery used in construction. This role requires expertise in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of hydraulic systems, engines, and transmissions.

• Inspect heavy equipment for faults, wear, or damage and diagnose mechanical issues. <br>
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, greasing, and filter replacements. <br>
• Repair and overhaul hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical components. <br>
• Utilize computer diagnostics to assess engine performance and troubleshoot issues. <br>
• Test repaired machinery to verify proper functionality and operational efficiency. <br>
• Maintain accurate service records, documenting repairs, replacements, and maintenance schedules. <br>
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in equipment servicing. <br>
• Collaborate with equipment operators and supervisors to address mechanical concerns. <br>
• Order and replace defective parts, ensuring timely availability of necessary components. <br>

• Diploma in Diesel Mechanics or a related technical field. <br>
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair. <br>

• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues. <br>
