About the Role

We are seeking for a Gas Production Engineer to join the Unconventional Production Engineering Division of UR Production Engineering Department.

The Unconventional Production Engineering Division is responsible for providing technical support for all of unconventional rig-less activities, production optimization and well integrity analysis for all unconventional wells in Saudi Arabia.

Your primary role is to be a key technical contributor to multi-disciplinary Development and Production Operations Teams in our Unconventional fields.

Requirements

<b>Key Responsibilities:</b> <br> As a successful candidate you will be responsible to perform the following: <br>

  • Design well completion, continuous production monitoring and Artificial lift performance and develop production target and avails for wells on production. <br>
  • Integrate production system modelling, field development planning and optimization, ensure well integrity management and provide best practices for well intervention activities. As a Petroleum Engineer Specialist, you will also be a resource as a technical mentor to other Production Engineering staff and fresh graduates within team. <br>
  • You will be involved in aggressive field development plans with a high level of drilling, completion and production activities together with analyzing and optimizing performance of Vertical, horizontal, multi-frac wells. <br>
  • Work, mentor, train and transfer knowledge to young professionals. Develop innovative and effective plunger lift and rod lift designs tailored to unconventional reservoir characteristics. <br>
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize artificial lift systems for various well conditions. <br>
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including reservoir engineers, production engineers, to align lift system strategies with reservoir and production goals. <br>
  • Analyze production data, well performance trends, and equipment performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency. <br>
  • Implement data-driven solutions to enhance lift system performance. <br> <br> <b>- Minimum Requirements:</b> <br> ++As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from a recognized and approved program or Master degree in Petroleum Engineering. <br> ++Minimum of 10 years’ experience in as a Production Engineer with minimum 5 years working in unconventional fields. <br> ++You should have the ability to multitask, prioritize projects and be available to provide occasional field coverage. <br> ++You must be able to work on collaborative projects with other Departments such as Reservoir, Drilling and Facilities <br> ++You should have proficiency with simulation software applications including Prosper, Saphir, WellCat (or equivalent) with the ability to perform nodal analysis, Rod modeling software. <br> ++You must have a deep understanding on liquid loading issues, well de liquification practices and production best practices.
