About the Role
We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to supports the Upstream Business Development Division (US&CP) The US&CP is responsible to optimally develop Upstream business strategy and oversee its execution as well as manage the Upstream capital portfolio, and guide and advise Upstream business development activities. The Upstream Segment encompasses affiliates, joint ventures, and subsidiaries. Your primary role is to providing financial analysis, economic valuation, and decision support for new and ongoing investment or portfolio optimization transactions involves validating economic assessments, supporting transaction advisory activities, and ensuring compliance with Upstream and Corporate Investment Evaluation Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: || As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following: -
- Assist in developing and/or validating economic assessments for business development or portfolio optimization transactions.
- Support transaction advisory activities, including commercial development and tr ansaction structuring.
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports to guide investment decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines, project gate requirements, and documentation standards.
- Participate as a finance representative on project teams as required.
- Evaluate and assess the economic impact of corporate projects on Upstream business.
- Provide governance assurance through commercial and economic assessment of transaction proposals.
Minimum requirements: || As the successful candidate you will have: -
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a recognized and approved program
- At least 5 experiences in financial analysis preferably in the oil & gas or energy sector
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and economic evaluation.
- Familiarity with investment evaluation guidelines and capital planning processes.
