Biomedical Engineer

The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of medical equipment, from planning and procurement to installation, performance evaluation, and compliance. This role ensures that healthcare facilities are equipped with reliable, high-quality technology that supports patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, commissioning, and validation of biomedical equipment.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics, calibration, and performance testing.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements.
• Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and clinical teams to ensure optimal equipment utilization.
• Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and vendor proposals.
• Provide technical training to technicians and healthcare staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in hospital engineering or medical equipment management (preferred).
• Strong understanding of medical device standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
• Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
