About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighting Engineer to join a leading operation in Dammam, specializing in airport fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in designing, inspecting, and maintaining advanced firefighting and fire protection systems within complex aviation environments.
This role requires strong engineering judgment, hands‑on experience with international fire safety standards, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure full compliance, operational readiness, and rapid emergency response capability. The Firefighting Engineer will play a critical role in safeguarding airport facilities, assets, and personnel by ensuring all fire protection systems are optimized, reliable, and fully aligned with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and enhance fire protection and firefighting systems for airport facilities.
- Conduct risk assessments, system audits, and fire safety inspections across terminals, hangars, and airside operations.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, ICAO, and local civil defense regulations.
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fire pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, alarms, suppression systems, and emergency equipment.
- Prepare technical reports, system documentation, and improvement recommendations.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to maintain high readiness levels.
- Support emergency response planning, drills, and incident investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection or firefighting engineering.
- Proven expertise in airport firefighting systems and aviation‑related fire safety operations.
- Strong knowledge of international fire codes and standards.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
