About the Role
The Journal Editor is responsible for overseeing the creation, accuracy, and quality of news content published on the platform. This role ensures that all articles meet professional editorial standards, follow ethical journalism guidelines, and align with the newspaper’s vision for impactful digital media. The editor manages contributors, reviews submissions, and ensures timely coverage of events across the Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, edit, and approve news articles before publication
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with journalistic ethics
- Coordinate with reporters, writers, and photographers
- Develop story ideas and assign coverage tasks
- Maintain consistency in tone, style, and editorial guidelines
- Monitor trending topics and ensure timely reporting
- Collaborate with the digital team to optimize content for online platforms
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong command of Arabic writing and editing
- Excellent news judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools
- Previous experience in journalism or editorial roles preferred
