Steel Fixer

The Steel Fixer is responsible for preparing, positioning, and securing reinforcement bars and steel mesh used in concrete structures. This role is essential for ensuring structural integrity and compliance with engineering standards. At Hiba Rose Contracting Co., Steel Fixers support major construction activities by executing reinforcement work with precision, contributing to the safe and timely delivery of long‑term projects in Umluj.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret bar bending schedules (BBS), structural drawings, and reinforcement plans.
• Cut, bend, shape, and position steel bars and mesh according to project specifications.
• Secure reinforcement using appropriate tying techniques and tools.
• Ensure correct spacing, alignment, and placement of steel reinforcement before concrete pouring.
• Collaborate with site engineers and supervisors to complete reinforcement tasks efficiently.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with site regulations.

Skills & Requirements

• Practical experience as a Steel Fixer in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of reinforcement placement procedures and structural requirements.
• Ability to read BBS and technical drawings.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor in challenging site environments.
• Reliable, disciplined, and able to work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards.
