About the Role
The Steel Fixer Foreman oversees steel reinforcement activities, ensuring accurate cutting, bending, and installation of rebar according to structural drawings. This role ensures that reinforcement work meets engineering specifications and supports the structural integrity of the project. The foreman manages steel fixer teams, coordinates with site engineers, and maintains high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise steel fixers in cutting, bending, and tying reinforcement steel.
- Review structural drawings and ensure correct bar placement and spacing.
- Inspect reinforcement work before concreting to ensure compliance.
- Plan daily tasks and assign manpower to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with carpenters and civil supervisors for formwork readiness.
- Ensure safe handling of tools and adherence to site safety protocols.
- Maintain material inventory and request additional steel when required.
- Resolve technical issues and ensure high‑quality workmanship.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of rebar installation and structural reinforcement.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings.
- Leadership skills and experience managing steel fixer teams.
- Understanding of safety standards and site procedures.
- Experience in industrial, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects preferred.
