About the Role
The construction and oil & gas sector continues to experience strong demand for qualified safety and permit-control professionals. Apex General Contracting is now hiring Work Permit Receivers (WPR) for an urgent requirement at an active project site in Rabigh. This role is ideal for experienced candidates who hold a valid site ID and possess solid knowledge of permit-to-work systems in industrial environments.
Work Permit Receivers play a critical role in maintaining safe work environments by ensuring that all hazardous, high‑risk, and non‑routine activities are properly authorized before execution. Acting as a key communication link between supervisors, safety teams, and field workers, WPRs help ensure that every permit is correctly issued, verified, and aligned with site safety regulations. Their contribution is essential in preventing incidents and ensuring full compliance with project safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and validate work permits prior to job commencement.
- Verify job safety requirements and ensure all risk controls are in place.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and safety officers to confirm compliance with site procedures.
- Maintain accurate permit documentation and ensure all approvals are properly recorded.
- Monitor work activities to ensure workers follow safety instructions before and during task execution.
- Support daily site operations by ensuring all permit-related processes are completed efficiently and correctly.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
- Previous experience as a Work Permit Receiver (WPR) in industrial or construction projects.
- Valid Rabigh Site ID (Mandatory).
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with site engineers, supervisors, and safety teams.
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced project environments.
