About the Role
The Workshop Manager oversees the full maintenance operations of the company’s fleet, ensuring all vehicles are serviced, repaired, and maintained to the highest safety and performance standards. This role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, the ability to diagnose faults accurately, and the leadership skills to manage technicians, allocate tasks, and maintain workflow efficiency. The Workshop Manager plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving fleet reliability, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industrial safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise workshop technicians, mechanics, and maintenance staff
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults across heavy vehicles and equipment
- Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Ensure all repairs meet quality, safety, and operational standards
- Maintain workshop records, job cards, maintenance logs, and spare parts usage
- Coordinate with operations and transport departments to prioritize urgent repairs
- Monitor spare parts inventory and request procurement when needed
- Implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with industrial regulations
- Train and guide staff on maintenance best practices and troubleshooting techniques
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in vehicle mechanics and heavy‑equipment maintenance
- Ability to diagnose faults using modern tools and diagnostic systems
